Customer Reviews

What a great lunch! The sizzling plate of pork was amazing. You must try it, but if you don’t like spicy food, you have to tell them. It’s great traditional Bhutanese food.

Don’t order potato momos, rest everything is fine. It’s a nice little old rustic and charming place. And it’s not that expensive. Frequented by locals, this is a good place to get a vibe of Thimpu. If you are here, no wonder they are rated highly and recommended by so many tour books. All in all, it was a great experience. Vegetarian options: Friend rice is good, the special vegetable is avg, Potato momos are not for me, I mean I did not like them but many people must like them.

It was a really disappointing experience. We have been many times before when in Thimphu, and it’s been great. We ordered beef momo, French fries, and beef bath up with a few special drinks. The momo was tasteless. The Fries were too oily and soggy. The bath-up and drinks were just average. I am not coming back. It seems like a new owner.

A few years back, Zombala used to serve the best momo, but now it’s really worse. It’s super dry, and the size is also relatively smaller. I won’t recommend anyone eat momo there. It’s no longer the Zombala we used to know.
