A good place to make a pit stop on the way to Punakha. The food is good, owners and staff are very friendly. Plus plenty of souvenir shops with a massive number of gifts and souvenirs. Better bargain 👌 😉

On the way to Punakha from Thimphu, we had lunch at Rinchenling. The food served was good and had a local flavor. On arrival, we were offered canned soft drinks, which we assumed were part of the package, but later we coughed up Rs. 150/- per can. The service was quick, and the staff on duty was polite. However, restrooms need thorough cleanliness.

The place is located at a very convenient location for people wanting to hike to the fertility temple. The quality of food is strictly okayish, and the staff is not very responsive—answering questions only if they wish to. The day we visited, a large group had come for lunch, and hence the staff was less attentive. Overall, an okayish experience—nothing great.

A great place for lunch or dinner. The food is quite good, and the service is very friendly. The views of the rice fields are wonderful.

Sorry to write harshly, but very bad customer service. Don’t believe your guide. The rice served was leftover and burnt mostly. Portions are just spoonfuls. They’re minting money by selling buffets as they’re not interested in your à la carte order unless it totals thousands. Clear distinctions made between foreigners and Indians—rude behavior.

Open buffet, consisting of 7 dishes, fast and delicious, but options are limited. However, it has a beautiful view and was a nice experience.

Dal tadka, fried rice, mixed vegetable curry, and aloo jeera—all served hot with a lot of warmth. Order the food before going to Chimi Lhakhang. Excellent view across the paddy fields.
